Pastor and Sis
Homer Looper
Reverend Homer Looper has devoted more than thirty-six years to ministry, having been raised in the home of a preacher where his calling began at a young age. His lifelong passion for serving God and His people has guided every step of his journey.
Originally from Arkansas, Reverend Looper moved to Silsbee, Texas, in June of 1991. What began as a new chapter soon became home, and he proudly considers himself a Texan. In December of 1991, he married his beautiful bride, Jodi Duplissey Looper. This was the beginning of a partnership rooted in faith and ministry.
In 1996, Reverend C. M. Duplissey invited him to assist in the church, a role that became a tremendous blessing and season of growth. In March of 2008, Reverend Looper stepped into the role of pastor, answering God’s call to shepherd His people. Since then, the church has continued to thrive, strengthened by dedicated members and a shared commitment to ministry.
Reverend Looper is blessed with four daughters, three sons-in-law, and six grandchildren, with a seventh on the way. His family serves faithfully alongside him in every area of the church, including bus ministry, music ministry, and many other areas of service. He considers it a great joy and blessing to minister together as a family.
Reverend Looper and his family look forward with anticipation to the future and warmly invite others to join them as they continue serving God and building His kingdom.
